Eigentlich keine grosse Sache: echo foo | mutt user@name.invalid und der Fall hat sich. Lustig wird es nur wenn man eine Datei anhängen will. Ein echo foo | mutt -a /tmp/jehova.txt user@name.invalid funktioniert normalerweise .. oder auch nicht. Weil wenn sich Mutt dann mit Can't stat user@name.invalid: No such file or directory verabschiedet, dann hat man (wie ich. Haha!) den Fehler gemacht und Mutt 1.5.20 installiert. Da muss das nämlich eine andere Reihenfolge verwendet werden. Nämlich echo foo | mutt -a /tmp/jehova.txt -- user@name.invalid und The -a option must be last in the option list..
Wenn mir das jemand gesagt hätte, dann hätte ich keine Panikattacken bekommen, weil ich seit fast 'ner Woche keine Backups mehr gemacht hab.

Die Frage wieso ich meine Dotfiles nicht update, welche ich heute per Mail bekommen habe, laesst sich ganz leicht beantworten. Es gibt nichts das einem Update bedarf!.

Wenn sich was aendert, dann sind das Sachen wie eine andere/weiter Emailadresse (oder private Hostnamen), GPG-Keys oder sowas in der Richtung. Wieso sollte ich auch etwas aendern? Es funktioniert so wie ich es mir vorstelle und ich es haben will. teK hat heute in #buha.unix zu dem Thema folgenden Link gepostet: http://stefan-foerster.de/archives/61-10jaehriges-Jubilaeum-und-ein-halbes.html und das passt exakt.
Meine Dotfiles habe ich immer auf einem USB-Stick dabei und die werden bei Bedarf schnell eingespielt; anschliessend kann ich genauso schnell und effizient arbeiten als saesse ich vor meiner Workstation. Ich muss nicht nachlesen, nichts anpassen, mich nicht umstellen, sondern kann sofort arbeiten. Ich steh auf "Konsolenprograme". Wieso? Weil sie verdammt einfach zu bedienen sind wenn man sie einmal passend konfiguriert hat.

oder amuesiert. Ich kann mich noch nicht genau entscheiden was ich eigentlich bin. Das liegt u. a. auch daran, weil ich nicht ganz sicher bin ob diese Fragen (alle per copy&paste eingefuegt) auch wirklich ernstgemeint sind.

Any tips for a nice emerge-gui that is not masked like porthole?

Is there a GUI frontend for GNU screen? I thought aterm or iterm or



something was able to graphically show GNU screen "windows" as tabs.

I really like slrn, but it well, outdated.  I'd love to use a real



GUI based on slrn engine.  I don't think it exists, but how difficult  



would it be to create one?  Does slrn use separation of model from

I installed noncommercial SSH on my win box and got a nice GUI that had



a button to press to connect and then popped up a window asking for the



password etc to log into my linux firewall/gateway. This worked quite



well and I could see all the files and change directories etc.



I installed SSH on my RH 6.2 box and ran /usr/local/sbin/sshd2 in a



terminal in GNOME and all it did was start sshd2. I thought it would



open a GUI for me but it did not. Is there a GUI for linux? If so how



do I open it?
